About PokeWall

PokeWall pulls illustrations directly from the printed Pokemon Trading Card Game and reformats them into 1080×1920 phone wallpapers without cropping out the parts of the artwork the illustrator actually drew. Instead of cutting the card down, the illustration is extended past its original borders so the full composition fits a vertical screen.

Browse card-art wallpapers spanning multiple TCG sets and illustrators, plus custom-designed wallpapers built around specific Pokemon and visual themes. Filter by type, rarity, set, or illustrator to find the wallpaper that fits your phone.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do these Pokemon wallpapers come from?+

Each card-art wallpaper starts as an official Pokemon TCG illustration pulled from the actual printed card. We extend the artwork into a vertical phone format while preserving the illustrator's original style, colors, and composition. Custom wallpapers are designed from scratch around a specific Pokemon and visual theme.

Are the wallpapers free to download?+

Yes. Every wallpaper on the site is free to download for personal use on your phone. Pokemon and Pokemon card art are trademarks of Nintendo, Creatures Inc. and GAME FREAK. PokeWall is a fan project not affiliated with Nintendo or The Pokemon Company. See the license page for details.

What resolution are the phone wallpapers?+

All phone wallpapers are 1080×1920, the standard aspect ratio for modern iPhones and Android devices. Files are JPEG, optimized for fast download without visible compression artifacts on the image.

Can I find wallpapers from a specific TCG set or illustrator?+

Yes. Every wallpaper is tagged with its set, rarity, type, and illustrator. Browse by set (151, Twilight Masquerade, Surging Sparks, etc.), by rarity (Illustration Rare, Special Illustration Rare, Ultra Rare), by type, or by individual illustrators like Mitsuhiro Arita, HYOGONOSUKE, and others.

How often are new wallpapers added?+

New wallpapers are added on a rolling basis as new TCG sets release and as fresh illustrator-driven art is produced. Featured wallpapers on the homepage rotate to highlight recent additions.
